Only Through Faith In Christ

Salvation cometh to none such
except it be through repentance
and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.

These things are true,
as the Lord God liveth,
there is none other name
given under heaven
save it be this Jesus Christ,
of which I have spoken,
whereby man can be saved.

Jesus Christ, The Savior Of The World

Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God.

I created the heavens and the earth,
and all things that in them are.

I was with the Father from the beginning.

I am in the Father, and the Father in me;

I came unto my own, and my own received me not.

And the scriptures concerning my coming are fulfilled.

And as many as have received me,

to them have I given to become the sons of God;

and even so will I to as many as shall believe on my name,

for behold, by me redemption cometh,

and in me is the law of Moses fulfilled.

I am the light and the life of the world.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Sanctified Through The Blood Of Christ

And again, if ye by the grace of God
are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power,
then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God,
through the shedding of the blood of Christ,
which is in the covenant of the Father
unto the remission of your sins,
that ye become holy, without spot.
(Moroni 10:33)

The Grace of Jesus Christ

Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him,
and deny yourselves of all ungodliness;
and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness,
and love God with all your might, mind and strength,
then is his grace sufficient for you, that
by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ;
and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ,
ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

Jesus Is God's Great Gift

And again I would exhort you that
ye would come unto Christ,
and lay hold upon every good gift.

Many Witnessed Of Christ

Behold, I say unto you,
Yea, many have testified of these things
at the coming of Christ.

Praise Jesus

And their mourning was turned into joy,
and their lamentations into the praise
and thanksgiving unto the
Lord Jesus Christ, their Redeemer.

Jesus Calls You

Behold, I have come unto the world
to bring redemption unto the world,
to save the world from sin.

Therefore, whoso repenteth and

cometh unto me as a little child,

him will I receive, for

of such is the kingdom of God.

Behold, for such I have laid down my life,

and have taken it up again; therefore repent,

and come unto me ye ends of the earth,

and be saved.

Jesus Heals All

Have ye any that are sick among you?
Bring them hither.

Have ye any that are lame, or blind, or halt,
or maimed, or leprous, or that are withered,
or that are deaf, or that are afflicted in any manner?
Bring them hither and I will heal them,
for I have compassion upon you;
my bowels are filled with mercy.

And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken,

all the multitude, with one accord,

did go forth with their sick and their afflicted,

and their lame, and with their blind,

and with their dumb, and with all them

that were afflicted in any manner;

and he did heal them every one

as they were brought forth unto him.

And they did all, both they who had been healed

and they who were whole,

bow down at his feet, and did worship him;

and as many as could come for the multitude did kiss his feet,

insomuch that they did bathe his feet with their tears.

Jesus Is The Christ, Our Redeemer

Behold, I am Jesus Christ the Son of God.

So great was his faith on the Lord Jesus Christ

that angels did minister unto him daily.

And in the name of Jesus did he

cast out devils and unclean spirits;

and even his brother did he raise from the dead,

after he had been stoned and suffered death by the people.

And the people saw it, and did witness of it,

and were angry with him because of his power;

and he did also do many more miracles,

in the sight of the people, in the name of Jesus.

Through Great Faith In Christ

And it came to pass that Nephi—
having been visited by angels
and also the voice of the Lord,
therefore having seen angels,
and being eye-witness,
and having had power given unto him
that he might know concerning
the ministry of Christ, went forth
among them in that same year,
and began to testify, boldly,
repentance and remission of sins
through faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.

(3 Nephi 7:15-16)

Miracles Through Christ

And we know our record to be true,
for behold, it was a just man
who did keep the record—
for he truly did many miracles
in the name of Jesus;
and there was not any man who could
do a miracle in the name of Jesus
save he were cleansed
every whit from his iniquity.
(3 Nephi 8:1)

We Boldly Testify Of Christ

And there began to be men inspired from heaven
and sent forth, standing among the people in all the land,
preaching and testifying boldly unto them concerning
the redemption which the Lord would make for his people,
or in other words, the resurrection of Christ;
and they did testify boldly of his death and sufferings.

Now there were many of those who testified
of the things pertaining to Christ who testified boldly.
(3 Nephi 6:20 & 23)

Jesus Our Redeemer

And then shall they know their Redeemer,
who is Jesus Christ, the Son of God;
and then shall they be gathered in
from the four quarters of the earth
unto their own lands, from whence
they have been dispersed;
yea, as the Lord liveth so shall it be.
(3 Nephi 5:26)

Mormons Love Jesus

I am Mormon, and I have reason
to bless my God and my Savior Jesus Christ.

Called Of Christ

Behold, I am a disciple
of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

I have been called of him to
declare his word among his people,
that they might have everlasting life.

Christ Foretold

And they knew that it must be
expedient that Christ had come,
because of the many signs
which had been given,
according to the words of the prophets.
(3 Nephi 5:2)

From The Time Of Christ

And nine years had passed away
from the time when the sign was given,
which was spoken of by the prophets,
that Christ should come into the world.

Now the Nephites began to reckon their time

from this period when the sign was given,

or from the coming of Christ;

therefore, nine years had passed away.

Jesus Appeared To Them

And they began to know that
the Son of God must shortly appear;
yea, in fine, all the people
upon the face of the whole earth
from the west to the east,
both in the land north and in the land south
knew that the prophets had testified
of these things for many years.

The Coming Of Jesus Christ

Behold, Nephi was baptizing, and prophesying,
and preaching, crying repentance unto the people,
showing signs and wonders,
working miracles among the people,
that they might know that
the Christ must shortly come.

Christ Is The True Shepherd

They shall again be brought to the true knowledge,
which is the knowledge of their Redeemer,
and their great and true shepherd
and be numbered among his sheep.
(Helaman 15:13)

Jesus Died For Us

And behold, again, another sign
I give unto you, yea, a sign of his death.

For behold, he surely must die that salvation may come;

yea, it behooveth him and becometh expedient that he dieth,

to bring to pass the resurrection of the dead,

that thereby men may be brought into the presence of the Lord.

Yea, behold, this death bringeth to pass the resurrection,

and redeemeth all mankind from the first death—

that spiritual death; for all mankind, by the fall of Adam

being cut off from the presence of the Lord,

are considered as dead,

both as to things temporal and to things spiritual.

But behold, the resurrection of Christ redeemeth mankind,

yea, even all mankind, and bringeth them

back into the presence of the Lord.

(Helaman 14:14-17)

Trust In The Name Of Christ

And ye shall hear my words,
for, for this intent have I come,
that ye might hear and know of
the judgments of God
which do await you
because of your iniquities,
and also that ye might know
the conditions of repentance;

And also that ye might know

of the coming of Jesus Christ,

the Son of God,

the Father of heaven and of earth,

the Creator of all things from the beginning;

and that ye might know

of the signs of his coming,

to the intent that ye might

believe on his name.

And if ye believe on his name

ye will repent of all your sins,

that thereby ye may have

a remission of them

through his merits.

(Helaman 14:11-13)

Believe In Jesus Christ

Whosoever shall believe on the Son of God,
the same shall have everlasting life.
(Helaman 14:8)

Signs Of Christ's Coming

Behold, I give unto you a sign;

for five years more cometh,

and behold, then cometh the Son of God

to redeem all those who shall believe on his name.

And behold, this will I give unto you

for a sign at the time of his coming;

for behold, there shall be great lights in heaven,

insomuch that in the night before he cometh

there shall be no darkness, insomuch that

it shall appear unto man as if it was day.

Therefore, there shall be one day and a night and a day,

as if it were one day and there were no night;

and this shall be unto you for a sign;

for ye shall know of the rising of the sun

and also of its setting; therefore

they shall know of a surety that

there shall be two days and a night;

nevertheless the night shall not be darkened;

and it shall be the night before he is born.

And behold, there shall a new star arise,

such an one as ye never have beheld;

and this also shall be a sign unto you.

And behold this is not all,

there shall be many signs and wonders in heaven.

And it shall come to pass that

ye shall all be amazed, and wonder,

insomuch that ye shall fall to the earth.

(Helaman 14:2-7)

Salvation Is In Christ Alone

Nothing can save this people
save it be repentance
and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ,
who surely shall come into the world,
and shall suffer many things
and shall be slain for his people.
And behold, an angel of the Lord
hath declared it unto me,
and he did bring glad tidings to my soul.
(Helaman 13:6-7)

Always Remember Jesus

Yea, and we may see at the very time
when he doth prosper his people,
yea, and in fine, doing all things for
the welfare and happiness of his people;
yea, then is the time that
they do harden their hearts,
and do forget the Lord their God,
and do trample under their feet the Holy One—
yea, and this because of their ease,
and their exceedingly great prosperity.
(Helaman 12:2)

Christ Was Their God

All of our fathers, even down to this time;
yea, they have testified of the coming of Christ,
and have looked forward,
and have rejoiced in his day which is to come.
And behold, he is God, and he is with them,
and he did manifest himself unto them,
that they were redeemed by him;
and they gave unto him glory,
because of that which is to come.
(Helaman 8:22-23)

All Prophets Testify Of Christ

And now I would that ye should know,
that even since the days of Abraham
there have been many prophets
that have testified these things;
yea, behold, the prophet Zenos did testify boldly;
for the which he was slain.
And behold, also Zenock, and also Ezias,
and also Isaiah, and Jeremiah,
(Jeremiah being that same prophet who
testified of the destruction of Jerusalem)
and now we know that Jerusalem was destroyed
according to the words of Jeremiah.

O then why not the Son of God come,
according to his prophecy?
(Helaman 8:19-20)

Christ Was Lifted Up For Us

Moses had such great power given unto him,
yea, the words which he hath spoken
concerning the coming of the Messiah.

Yea, did he not bear record
that the Son of God should come?

And as he lifted up the brazen serpent
in the wilderness, even so
shall he be lifted up who should come.

And as many as should
look upon that serpent should live,
even so as many as should
look upon the Son of God with faith,
having a contrite spirit, might live,
even unto that life which is eternal.
(Helaman 8:13-15)

Jesus Is Our Light

You must repent, and cry unto the voice,
even until ye shall have faith in Christ,
who was taught unto you;
and when ye shall do this,
the cloud of darkness shall be
removed from overshadowing you.
(Helaman 5:41)

Jesus Christ The Son Of God

Behold, I am Jesus Christ,
whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
And behold, I am the light and the life of the world;
and I have drunk out of that bitter cup
which the Father hath given me,
and have glorified the Father
in taking upon me the sins of the world,
in the which I have suffered the will of the Father
in all things from the beginning.
(3 Nephi 11:10-11)

The Coming of Jesus

Lift up your head and be of good cheer;
for behold, the time is at hand,
and on this night shall the sign be given,
and on the morrow come I into the world,
to show unto the world that
I will fulfil all that which
I have caused to be spoken
by the mouth of my holy prophets.
Behold, I come unto my own,
to fulfill all things which I have
made known unto the children of men
from the foundation of the world,
and to do the will, both of
the Father and of the Son—
of the Father because of me,
and of the Son because of my flesh.

And behold, the time is at hand,
and this night shall the sign be given.
(3 Nephi 1:13-14)

Build On Christ

And now remember, remember that
it is upon the rock of our Redeemer,
who is Christ, the Son of God,
that ye must build your foundation;
that when the devil shall
send forth his mighty winds,
yea, his shafts in the whirlwind,
yea, when all his hail and
his mighty storm shall beat upon you,
it shall have no power over you
to drag you down to
the gulf of misery and endless wo,
because of the rock upon which ye are built,
which is a sure foundation,
a foundation whereon
if men build they cannot fall.
(Helaman 5:12)

Our Redeemer's Power

Remember also the words which Amulek spake
that the Lord surely should come to redeem his people,
but that he should not come to redeem them in their sins,
but to redeem them from their sins.
And he hath power given unto him from the Father
to redeem them from their sins because of repentance;
therefore he hath sent his angels to declare
the tidings of the conditions of repentance,
which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer,
unto the salvation of their souls.
(Helaman 5:10-11)

Through The Blood Of Christ

Remember that there is no other way
nor means whereby man can be saved,
only through the atoning blood
of Jesus Christ, who shall come;
yea, remember that
he cometh to redeem the world.
(Helaman 5:9)

True Joy In Christ

They did fast and pray oft,
and did wax stronger and
stronger in their humility,
and firmer and firmer
in the faith of Christ,
unto the filling their souls
with joy and consolation,
yea, even to the purifying
and the sanctification of their hearts,
which sanctification cometh
because of their yielding
their hearts unto God.
(Helaman 3:35)

All May Come Unto Christ

Yea, we see that whosoever will
may lay hold upon the word of God,
which is quick and powerful,
which shall divide asunder
all the cunning and the snares
and the wiles of the devil,
and lead the man of Christ
in a strait and narrow course
across that everlasting gulf of misery
which is prepared to engulf the wicked—
And land their souls,
yea, their immortal souls,
at the right hand of God
in the kingdom of heaven,
to sit down with Abraham,
and Isaac, and with Jacob,
and with all our holy fathers,
to go no more out.
(Helaman 3:29-30)

All May Believe In Jesus

Yea, thus we see that
the gate of heaven is open unto all,
even to those who will believe
on the name of Jesus Christ,
who is the Son of God.
(Helaman 3:28)

Firmness In Christ

And he was a man who
was firm in the faith of Christ.
(Alma 48:12)

The Cause Of Christians

He was preparing to support their liberty,
their lands, their wives, and their children, and their peace,
and that they might live unto the Lord their God,
and that they might maintain that which was
called by their enemies the cause of Christians.
(Alma 48:10)

Happy In Christ

There were many who died with old age;
and those who died in the faith of Christ
are happy in him, as we must needs suppose.
(Alma 46:41)

Rejoice In The Hope Of Christ

And it came to pass that there were many who died,
firmly believing that their souls were
redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ;
thus they went out of the world rejoicing.
(Alma 46:39)

Stand Fast In Christ

And now who knoweth but what
the remnant of the seed of Joseph,
which shall perish as his garment,
are those who have dissented from us?

Yea, and even it shall be ourselves
if we do not stand fast in the faith of Christ.
(Alma 46:27)

Stand In The Name Of Christ

The people came running together,
rending their garments in token, or as a covenant,
that they would not forsake the Lord their God;
or, in other words, if they should
transgress the commandments of God,
or fall into transgression, and be ashamed
to take upon them the name of Christ,
the Lord should rend them even as
they had rent their garments.
(Alma 46:21)

Followers Of Christ

Surely God shall not suffer that we,
who are despised because we
take upon us the name of Christ,
shall be trodden down and destroyed,
until we bring it upon us
by our own transgressions.
(Alma 46:17)

True Christians

And therefore, at this time, Moroni prayed
that the cause of the Christians,
and the freedom of the land might be favored.
(Alma 46:16)

They Were Christians

And those who did belong to the church were faithful;
yea, all those who were true believers in Christ
took upon them, gladly, the name of Christ,
or Christians as they were called, because of
their belief in Christ who should come.
(Alma 46:15)

True Believers In Christ

He bowed himself to the earth,

and he prayed mightily unto his God

for the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren,

so long as there should a band of Christians

remain to possess the land—

For thus were all the true believers of Christ,

who belonged to the church of God,

called by those who did not belong to the church.

(Alma 46:13-14)

Jesus Came To Them

Jesus Christ shall
manifest himself unto them.
(Alma 45:10)

Believe In Jesus

Believest thou in Jesus Christ,
who shall come?

Because Of Faith In Christ

But now, ye behold that the Lord is with us;
and ye behold that he has delivered you into our hands.

And now I would that ye should understand
that this is done unto us because of
our religion and our faith in Christ.

And now ye see that ye cannot destroy this our faith.

Through The Justice Of Christ

Behold, it is requisite and just,
according to the power
and resurrection of Christ,
that the soul of man
should be restored to its body,
and that every part of the body
should be restored to itself.

At Christ's Resurrection

There is a first resurrection,
a resurrection of all those who have been,
or who are, or who shall be,
down to the resurrection
of Christ from the dead.
(Alma 40:16)

He Is The First Fruits

Behold, I say unto you, that there is no resurrection—
or, I would say, in other words, that
this mortal does not put on immortality,
this corruption does not put on incorruption—
until after the coming of Christ.

Behold, he bringeth to pass the resurrection of the dead.

Christ's Gospel

I would say somewhat unto you
concerning the coming of Christ.

Behold, I say unto you,
that it is he that surely shall come to
take away the sins of the world;
yea, he cometh to declare glad
tidings of salvation unto his people.

Only In & Through Christ

I have told you this that ye may learn wisdom,
that ye may learn of me that there is no other way
or means whereby man can be saved,
only in and through Christ.

Behold, he is the life and the light of the world.

Behold, he is the word of truth and righteousness.
(Alma 38:9)

Find Peace In Christ

I was three days and three nights
in the most bitter pain and anguish of soul;
and never, until I did cry out unto
the Lord Jesus Christ for mercy,
did I receive a remission of my sins.

But behold, I did cry unto him
and I did find peace to my soul.

Follow Jesus

Surely shall the words of Christ,
if we follow their course,
carry us beyond this vale of sorrow
into a far better land of promise.
(Alma 37:45)

Listen To Jesus

Behold, it is easy to
give heed to the word of Christ,
which will point to you
a straight course to eternal bliss.
(Alma 37:44)

Have Faith In Jesus Christ

Preach unto them repentance,
and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ;
teach them to humble themselves
and to be meek and lowly in heart;
teach them to withstand
every temptation of the devil,
with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.
(Alma 37:33)

God's Word Is In Christ

Yea, these records and their words
brought them unto repentance;
that is, they brought them to
the knowledge of the Lord their God,
and to rejoice in Jesus Christ their Redeemer.
(Alma 37:9)

Peace Comes Through Christ

And it came to pass that as I was thus racked with torment,

while I was harrowed up by the memory of my many sins,

behold, I remembered also to have heard my father

prophesy unto the people concerning the coming

of one Jesus Christ, a Son of God,

to atone for the sins of the world.

Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought,

I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God,

have mercy on me, who am in the gall of bitterness,

and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.

And now, behold, when I thought this,

I could remember my pains no more;

yea, I was harrowed up by the memory of my sins no more.

(Alma 36:17-19)

No More Deny Christ

And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that
ye should remember these things,
and that ye should work out
your salvation with fear before God,
and that ye should no more
deny the coming of Christ;

That ye contend no more against
the Holy Ghost, but that ye receive it,
and take upon you the name of Christ.
(Alma 34:37-38)

Through The Blood Of Christ

The Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples,
but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell;
yea, and he has also said that the righteous
shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out;
but their garments should be made white
through the blood of the Lamb.
(Alma 34:36)

Christ's Infinite Atonement

Behold, this is the whole meaning of the law,
every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice;
and that great and last sacrifice
will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.

And thus he shall bring salvation to
all those who shall believe on his name.
(Alma 34:14-15)

I Know He Is Christ

And now, behold, I will testify unto you of myself
that these things are true.

Behold, I say unto you, that I do know that
Christ shall come among the children of men,
to take upon him the transgressions of his people,
and that he shall atone for the sins of the world;
for the Lord God hath spoken it.
(Alma 34:8)

Jesus Christ Is The Word

And we have beheld that
the great question which is in your minds
is whether the word be in the Son of God,
or whether there shall be no Christ.

And ye also beheld that my brother

has proved unto you, in many instances,

that the word is in Christ unto salvation.

My brother has called upon the words of Zenos,

that redemption cometh through the Son of God,

and also upon the words of Zenock;

and also he has appealed unto Moses,

to prove that these things are true.

(Alma 34:5-7)

Know Christ

I think that it is impossible that ye should be ignorant
of the things which have been spoken concerning
the coming of Christ, who is taught by us
to be the Son of God.
(Alma 34:2)

Have Joy in Christ

May God grant unto you
that your burdens may be light,
through the joy of his Son.
(Alma 33:23)

Our Faith Is In Jesus

Cast about your eyes and begin to
believe in the Son of God,
that he will come to redeem his people,
and that he shall suffer and die
to atone for their sins;
and that he shall rise again from the dead,
which shall bring to pass the resurrection,
that all men shall stand before him,
to be judged at the last and judgment day,
according to their works.
(Alma 33:22)

Look Unto Jesus Christ

And now, my brethren, ye see that
a second prophet of old has
testified of the Son of God,
and because the people would not
understand his words
they stoned him to deatth

But behold, this is not all;

these are not the only ones who

have spoken concerning the Son of God.

Behold, he was spoken of by Moses;

yea, and behold a type was

raised up in the wilderness,

that whosoever would look upon it might live.

And many did look and live.

(Alma 33:17-19)

God's Mercy Is In Christ Jesus

Behold, he said: Thou art angry, O Lord, with this people,
because they will not understand thy mercies
which thou hast bestowed upon them because of thy Son.

If ye have, how can ye disbelieve
on the Son of God?

Mercy Is In Christ

Thou hast turned away thy judgments
because of thy Son.

mine afflictions and my sincerity;
and it is because of thy Son that thou

in all mine afflictions,

Jesus Christ Is Our Joy

And the Lord provided for them
that they should hunger not,
neither should they thirst; yea,
and he also gave them strength,
that they should suffer
no manner of afflictions,
save it were swallowed up
in the joy of Christ.

Bring Them Unto Christ

O Lord, wilt thou grant unto us
that we may have success
in bringing them again
unto thee in Christ.

Comfort Others In Christ

O Lord, wilt thou comfort my soul,
and give unto me success,
and also my fellow laborers who are with me
wilt thou comfort, O Lord.

Yea, wilt thou comfort their souls in Christ.
(Alma 31:32)

Jesus Is Our Comfort

O Lord, my heart is exceedingly sorrowful;
wilt thou comfort my soul in Christ.
(Alma 31:31)

All Things Testify Of Christ

Will ye deny again that there is a God,
and also deny the Christ?

For behold, I say unto you,
I know there is a God,
and also that Christ shall come.

And now what evidence have ye

that there is no God, or that Christ cometh not?

I say unto you that ye have none,

save it be your word only.

But, behold, I have all things as a testimony
that these things are true;
and ye also have all things as a testimony
unto you that they are true.

Pervert Not The Ways Of Christ

And it came to pass that the high priest said unto him:
Why do ye go about perverting the ways of the Lord?

Why do ye teach this people that there
shall be no Christ, to interrupt their rejoicings?

Why do ye speak against
all the prophecies of the holy prophets?
(Alma 30:22)

Choose Jesus Christ

And thus we see the great call of diligence
of men to labor in the vineyards of the Lord;
and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—
sorrow because of death and destruction among men,
and joy because of the light of Christ unto life.
(Alma 28:14)

Redeemer Of All

And now may the Lord,
the Redeemer of all men,
bless their souls forever.
(Alma 28:8)

Christ Has Won The Victory

And they never did look upon death
with any degree of terror,
for their hope and views of Christ
and the resurrection; therefore,
death was swallowed up to them
by the victory of Christ over it.
(Alma 27:28)

True Christians

The people who were of the church of God
were also distinguished for their
zeal towards God, and also towards men;
for they were perfectly honest and upright in all things;
and they were firm in the faith of Christ, even unto the end.
(Alma 27:27)

Retaining Hope Through Faith In Christ

Now they did not suppose that salvation
came by the law of Moses; but the law of Moses
did serve to strengthen their faith in Christ;
and thus they did retain a hope through faith,
unto eternal salvation, relying upon
the spirit of prophecy, which spake of
those things to come.
(Alma 25:16)

The Law Points To Christ

But notwithstanding the law of Moses,
they did look forward to the coming of Christ,
considering that the law of Moses
was a type of his coming, and believing
that they must keep those outward performances
until the time that he should be revealed unto them.
(Alma 25:15)

Through The Blood Of Christ

Perhaps, if we should stain our swords again
they can no more be washed bright through
the blood of the Son of our great God,
which shall be shed for the atonement of our sins.
(Alma 24:13)

We Are Cleansed Through Christ

I also thank my God, yea, my great God,
that he hath granted unto us that we might repent of these things,
and also that he hath forgiven us of those our many
sins and murders which we have committed,
and taken away the guilt from our hearts,
through the merits of his Son.
(Alma 24:10)

Redemption Through Christ's Atonement

Since man had fallen he could not merit anything of himself;
but the sufferings and death of Christ atone for their sins,
through faith and repentance, and so forth;
and that he breaketh the bands of death,
that the grave shall have no victory,
and that the sting of death should be
swallowed up in the hopes of glory.
(Alma 22:14)

Christ's Plan Of Redemption

Aaron did expound unto him the scriptures
from the creation of Adam,
laying the fall of man before him,
and their carnal state and also the plan of redemption,
which was prepared from the foundation of the world,
through Christ, for all whosoever
would believe on his name.
(Alma 22:13)

Only In And Through Christ

Now Aaron began to open the scriptures unto them
concerning the coming of Christ,
and also concerning the resurrection of the dead,
and that there could be no redemption for mankind
save it were through the death and sufferings
of Christ, and the atonement of his blood.
(Alma 21:9)
