Remember Jesus

And they did meet together oft
to partake of bread and wine,
in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

Received Unto Christ

And after they had been received unto baptism,
and were wrought upon and cleansed
by the power of the Holy Ghost,
they were numbered among
the people of the church of Christ;
and their names were taken,
that they might be remembered and nourished
by the good word of God,
to keep them in the right way,
to keep them continually watchful unto prayer,
relying alone upon the merits of Christ,
who was the author and the finisher of their faith.

Baptized Unto Christ

None were received unto baptism
save they took upon them the name of Christ,
having a determination to serve him to the end.
(Moroni 6:3)

In Remembrance Of Christ's Blood

Behold, they took the cup, and said:

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee,
in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ,
to bless and sanctify this wine
to the souls of all those who drink of it,
that they may do it in remembrance
of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them;
that they may witness unto thee,
O God, the Eternal Father,
that they do always remember him,
that they may have his Spirit to be with them.
Amen.

In Remembrance Of Christ's Body

The manner of their elders and priests
administering the flesh and blood of Christ
unto the church;
and they administered it according to
the commandments of Christ;
wherefore we know the manner to be true;
and the elder or priest did minister it—

And they did kneel down with the church,
and pray to the Father in the name of Christ, saying:

O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee
in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ,
to bless and sanctify this bread
to the souls of all those who partake of it;
that they may eat in remembrance
of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee,
O God, the Eternal Father,
that they are willing to
take upon them the name of thy Son,
and always remember him,
and keep his commandments
which he hath given them,
that they may always have
his Spirit to be with them.
Amen.

The Priesthood Of God

The manner which the disciples,
who were called the elders of the church,
ordained priests and teachers—

After they had prayed unto the Father in the name of Christ,
they laid their hands upon them, and said:

In the name of Jesus Christ I ordain you to be a priest
(or if he be a teacher, I ordain you to be a teacher)
to preach repentance and remission of sins through Jesus Christ,
by the endurance of faith on his name to the end. Amen.

Authorized By Jesus Christ

The words of Christ,
which he spake unto his disciples,
the twelve whom he had chosen,
as he laid his hands upon them—

And he called them by name, saying:
Ye shall call on the Father
in my name, in mighty prayer;
and after ye have done this ye shall
have power that to him upon whom
ye shall lay your hands,
ye shall give the Holy Ghost;
and in my name shall ye give it,
for thus do mine apostles.

Now Christ spake these words unto them,
and on as many as they laid their hands,
fell the Holy Ghost.

True To Our Savior

And because of their hatred
they put to death every Nephite
that will not deny the Christ.

And I, Moroni, will not deny the Christ.

Cleansed In Christ

Blessed are they,
for they have been washed
in the blood of the Lamb.

Seek After Jesus Christ

And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus
of whom the prophets and apostles have written,
that the grace of God the Father,
and also the Lord Jesus Christ,
and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them,
may be and abide in you forever.

We Shall Meet At Jesus' Feet

And now I, Moroni, bid farewell unto the Gentiles,
yea, and also unto my brethren whom I love,
until we shall meet before the judgment-seat of Christ,
where all men shall know that my garments
are not spotted with your blood.

And then shall ye know that I have seen Jesus,
and that he hath talked with me face to face,
and that he told me in plain humility,
even as a man telleth another in mine own language,
concerning these things.

At The Command Of Christ

It is by faith that my fathers
have obtained the promise
that these things should come
unto their brethren through the Gentiles;
therefore the Lord hath commanded me,
yea, even Jesus Christ.

Faith Before His Coming

There were many whose faith
was so exceedingly strong,
even before Christ came,
who could not be kept
from within the veil,
but truly saw with their eyes
the things which they had
beheld with an eye of faith,
and they were glad.
(Ether 12:19)

Miraculous Faith In Christ

All they who wrought miracles
wrought them by faith,
even those who were before Christ
and also those who were after.

And neither at any time hath any
wrought miracles until after their faith;
wherefore they first believed
in the Son of God.

Hope Comes By Faith In Christ

It was by faith that Christ
showed himself unto our fathers,
after he had risen from the dead;
and he showed not himself unto them
until after they had faith in him;
wherefore, it must needs be
that some had faith in him,
for he showed himself not unto the world.

But because of the faith of men
he has shown himself unto the world,
and glorified the name of the Father,
and prepared a way that thereby others
might be partakers of the heavenly gift,
that they might hope for those things
which they have not seen.

The Power Of Christ Unto God

And this work, in the which shall be shown forth
the power of God and also his word,
of which the Father, and the Son,
and the Holy Ghost bear record—
all this shall stand as a testimony
against the world at the last day.


And if it so be that they repent
and come unto the Father in the name of Jesus,
they shall be received into the kingdom of God.

Jesus Christ Speaks To Us

And he that will contend against
the word of the Lord,
let him be accursed;
and he that shall deny these things,
let him be accursed;
for unto them will I show
no greater things, saith Jesus Christ;
for I am he who speaketh.
(Ether 4:8)

The Revelations Of Christ

In that day that they shall exercise
faith in me, saith the Lord,
that they may become sanctified in me,
then will I manifest unto them even
to the unfolding unto them all my revelations,
saith Jesus Christ, the Son of God,
the Father of the heavens and of the earth,
and all things that in them are.
