Servants Of Christ

And thus they were instruments
in the hands of God in bringing many
to the knowledge of the truth, yea,
to the knowledge of their Redeemer.
(Mosiah 27:36)

Redeemed By Jesus Christ

My soul hath been redeemed from
the gall of bitterness and bonds of iniquity.

I was in the darkest abyss; but now
I behold the marvelous light of God.

My soul was racked with eternal torment; but
I am snatched, and my soul is pained no more.

I rejected my Redeemer, and denied that
which had been spoken of by our fathers;
but now that they may foresee that he will come,
and that he remembereth every creature of his creating,
he will make himself manifest unto all.

Yea, every knee shall bow,
and every tongue confess before him.

Yea, even at the last day, when all men
shall stand to be judged of him,
then shall they confess that he is God;
then shall they confess, who live without God in the world,
that the judgment of an everlasting punishment
is just upon them; and they shall quake, and tremble,
and shrink beneath the glance of his all-searching eye.

It Is The Church Of Jesus Christ

Behold, this is my church;
whosoever is baptized
shall be baptized unto repentance.

And whomsoever ye receive
shall believe in my name;
and him will I freely forgive.

For it is I that taketh upon me
the sins of the world;
for it is I that hath created them;
and it is I that granteth
unto him that believeth
unto the end a place at my right hand.

For behold, in my name
are they called; and if they know me
they shall come forth,
and shall have a place
eternally at my right hand.

And it shall come to pass that
when the second trump shall sound
then shall they that never knew me
come forth and shall stand before me.

And then shall they know that
I am the Lord their God,
that I am their Redeemer;
but they would not be redeemed.

And then I will confess unto them
that I never knew them;
and they shall depart into
everlasting fire prepared for
the devil and his angels.

Therefore I say unto you,
that he that will not hear my voice,
the same shall ye not
receive into my church,
for him I will not receive at the last day.

Sing Praise To Jesus

They came to the knowledge of their Redeemer;
yea, and how blessed are they,
for they shall sing to his praise forever.
(Mosiah 18:30)

The Church of Jesus Christ

And they were called
the church of God,
or the church of Christ,
from that time forward.
(Mosiah 18:17)

Great Blessings Through Christ

May the Spirit of the Lord
be poured out upon you;
and may he grant unto you eternal life,
through the redemption of Christ,
whom he has prepared
from the foundation of the world.
(Mosiah 18:13)

Redemption Through Christ

The resurrection of the dead,
and the redemption of the people,
was to be brought to pass through
the power, and sufferings,
and death of Christ,
and his resurrection
and ascension into heaven.
(Mosiah 18:2)

We Teach Of Christ

Teach them that redemption cometh
through Christ the Lord, who is
the very Eternal Father.
(Mosiah 16:15)

Let Us Rejoice In Christ!

If Christ had not risen from the dead,
or have broken the bands of death
that the grave should have no victory,
and that death should have no sting.
there could have been no resurrection.

But there is a resurrection,
therefore the grave hath no victory,
and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ.

He is the light and the life of the world;
yea, a light that is endless,
that can never be darkened;
yea, and also a life which is endless,
that there can be no more death.

Christ, The Redeemer

And now if Christ had not come into the world,
speaking of things to come
as though they had already come,
there could have been no redemption.
(Mosiah 16:6)

Jesus Christ Redeems Them

They are raised to dwell with God
who has redeemed them;
thus they have eternal life through Christ,
who has broken the bands of death.

And these are those who have part in the first resurrection;
and these are they that have died before Christ came,
in their ignorance, not having salvation declared unto them.

And thus the Lord bringeth about the restoration of these;
and they have a part in the first resurrection,
or have eternal life, being redeemed by the Lord.

Christ Breaks The Bands Of Death

But behold, the bands of
death shall be broken,
and the Son reignett,
and hath power over the dead;
therefore, he bringeth to pass
the resurrection of the dead.

And there cometh a resurrection,
even a first resurrection;
yea, even a resurrection of those
that have been, and who are,
and who shall be, even until
the resurrection of Christ—
for so shall he be called.

Who Are Children Of Christ?

And now I say unto you,
who shall declare his generation?

Behold, I say unto you, that
when his soul has been made an offering for sin
he shall see his seed. And now what say ye?

And who shall be his seed?

Behold I say unto you, that whosoever
has heard the words of the prophets,
yea, all the holy prophets who have prophesied
concerning the coming of the Lord—
I say unto you, that all those who have
hearkened unto their words, and believed that
the Lord would redeem his people,
and have looked forward to that day
for a remission of their sins,
I say unto you, that these are his seed,
or they are the heirs of the kingdom of God.

For these are they whose sins he has borne;
these are they for whom he has died,
to redeem them from their transgressions.

And now, are they not his seed?

The Infinte Atonement Of Jesus Christ

And thus the flesh becoming subject to the Spirit,
or the Son to the Father, being one God,
suffereth temptation, and yieldeth not to the temptation,
but suffereth himself to be mocked, and scourged,
and cast out, and disowned by his people.

And after all this, after working many mighty
miracles among the children of men,
he shall be led, yea, even as Isaiah said,
as a sheep before the shearer is dumb,
so he opened not his mouth.

Yea, even so he shall be led, crucified, and slain,
the flesh becoming subject even unto death,
the will of the Son being swallowed up
in the will of the Father.

And thus God breaketh the bands of death,
having gained the victory over death;
giving the Son power to make intercession
for the children of men—

Having ascended into heaven, having the bowels of mercy;
being filled with compassion towards the children of men;
standing betwixt them and justice;
having broken the bands of death,
taken upon himself their iniquity and their transgressions,
having redeemed them, and satisfied the demands of justice.

The Coming Of God's Son

I would that ye should
understand that God himself shall
come down among the children of men,
and shall redeem his people.

And because he dwelleth in flesh
he shall be called the Son of God,
and having subjected the flesh
to the will of the Father,
being the Father and the Son—

The Father, because he was
conceived by the power of God;
and the Son, because of the flesh;
thus becoming the Father and Son.
(Mosiah 15:1-3)

The Coming Messiah

Behold, did not Moses prophesy unto them
concerning the coming of the Messiah,
and that God should redeem his people?

Yea, and even all the prophets who have
prophesied ever since the world began—
have they not spoken more or less concerning these things?

Have they not said that God himself should
come down among the children of men,
and take upon him the form of man,
and go forth in mighty power upon the face of the earth?

Yea, and have they not said also that he should
bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, and that
he, himself, should be oppressed and afflicted?

Christ As Our Creator

He said unto them that Christ
was the God, the Father of all things,
and said that he should take upon him
the image of man, and it should be the image
after which man was created in the beginning;
or in other words, he said that man was
created after the image of God,
and that God should come down
among the children of men,
and take upon him flesh and blood,
and go forth upon the face of the earth.
(Mosiah 7:27)

The Prophets Knew Of Christ's Coming

And a prophet of the Lord have they slain;
yea, a chosen man of God, who told them
of their wickedness and abominations,
and prophesied of many things which are to come,
yea, even the coming of Christ.
(Mosiah 7:26)

In Christ's Covenant

And it came to pass that
there was not one soul,
except it were little children,
but who had entered
into the covenant
and had taken upon them
the name of Christ.
(Mosiah 6:2)

Salvation Is In Jesus Christ

Therefore, I would that ye should
be steadfast and immovable,
always abounding in good works,
that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent,
may seal you his,
that you may be brought to heaven,
that ye may have everlasting
salvation and eternal life,
through the wisdom, and power,
and justice, and mercy of
him who created all things,
in heaven and in earth,
who is God above all.
(Mosiah 5:15)

Either Christ's, Or Not

Whosoever shall not
take upon him the name of Christ
must be called by some other name;
therefore, he findeth himself
on the left hand of God.
(Mosiah 5:10)

Take The Name Of Christ

There is no other name given
whereby salvation cometh;
therefore, I would that
ye should take upon you
the name of Christ,
all you that have entered
into the covenant with God
that ye should be obedient
unto the end of your lives.

And it shall come to pass
that whosoever doeth this shall be
found at the right hand of God,
for he shall know
the name by which he is called;
for he shall be called
by the name of Christ.

Born Again In Christ Jesus

And now, because of the covenant which ye have made
ye shall be called the children of Christ,
his sons, and his daughters; for behold,
this day he hath spiritually begotten you;
for ye say that your hearts are changed
through faith on his name; therefore, ye are born of him
and have become his sons and his daughters.
(Mosiah 5:7)
